Since 30 April 2025 Pinterest has shown an “AI modified” label in the close-up view of Pins it identifies as AI-generated or AI-edited. It uses IPTC metadata, its own classifiers and creators' disclosures. Metadata is only one of the three signals, so a clean file does not guarantee an unlabeled Pin.

Promoted Pins use separate disclosures such as “modified with AI” or “AI-generated person”. The organic “AI modified” label appears at the bottom left of a Pin's close-up view.
Many shops pin product mockups made with AI tools. The IPTC field from your design app is the part you can see and control, so check the export before pinning. Pinterest's classifiers still judge the image itself.
The same rules apply to every file, whatever made it. BlankAI cleans the metadata that travels with a file. It cannot reach anything that is part of the image itself.
